Lisa and I fell in love with Fernie so much that we were married on Mt. Fernie this summer. We rode the Timber Bowl lift to 6000 ft. and exchanged vows. We stayed with family and friends at Polar Peak Lodges. The staff at Fernie Lodging Company were extremely helpful and accommodating. We had nature, privacy and Mt. Fernie out our back door.

Manager: Shelley L'Estrange

Shelley grew up in B.C. She moved to Fernie several years ago. She has more than 20 years of business and hospitality experience in Lake Louise, Whistler, the Caribbean, Victoria, the Interior of B.C., and now Fernie.

Shelley takes care of the day-to-day management of the company. She also looks after marketing and sales, wholesaler relations, trade and consumer shows, print media, promotions, website, property tours and inspections.

Guest Services: Mari-Anne Allan

Mari-Anne is a Fernie local and a registered paramedic. In search of a slightly less dramatic career, Mari-Anne came to us in 2004 as a reservation specialist and is now our Guest Services Manager. She looks after hiring, training and supervising our Guest Services team. She is also our Wedding Co-ordinator.

Owner Relations: Diane Souccar

Diane has been with us since 2002, and is now head of Owner Relations. Born in Australia and emigrating to Canada from Switzerland at age four, Diane was raised in Montreal, Quebec, and moved to Fernie from Toronto following a 15 year career as owner/operator of a successful travel agency. She has travelled many of the world’s ski resorts and has settled in Fernie to pursue her passions of skiing, biking and hiking in the beautiful Elk Valley.

Maintenance Manager: Damien Lyon

Damien is our Maintenance/Suite Care Manager and is from the Gold Coast, Australia. Damien left Australia in 2007 to travel around the world. He has since been to over 40 countries and has lived in London in the United Kingdom where he was an Office Manager and OHS Manager for a large Engineering Company. Damien is also a qualified Personal Trainer and enjoys watching and playing Australian Rules football and has taken a love to our National Game Ice Hockey.

Accounting Manager: Jen O'Donnell

Jen works behind the scenes as our Accounting Manager. She came to Fernie from Ontario with her daughter and enjoys biking, skiing and hiking. She is a passionate environmentalist and co-ordinates an intensive recycling program within the company.
