Job Description:
To deliver a superior guest experience through suite care and ensure that all properties associated with Fernie Lodging Company are cared for and maintained at a standard that fulfills the obligation to Owners, the rental management agreement and strata management contracts.
Areas of Responsibility:
- All FLC property and properties within the rental program
- Guest and Owner maintenance requests
- Hiring and co-ordinating Trades contractors for maintenance and repairs
- Property inspections and inventories
- Housekeeping inventory
- Security
- Garbage & recycling collection and sorting
- Liaise with Owner Relations Manager on property repairs and renovation co-ordination
Duties:
- Execute the vehicle maintenance & cleaning schedule
- Inventory and restock housekeeping rooms
- Attend regular meetings and remain in constant contact with all departments for updates and progress reports
- Maintain and modify checklists for maintenance procedure for individual properties
- Use RDP for maintenance/work order reports and for communication between all departments
- Receive calls and concerns regarding the property from Owners and Guests, and tomanage te resolution of problems representing the interests of the Owners, Guests and Fernie Lodging Company.
- Respond to emergency calls and maintenance requests. This task will require on-call duties over and above regular working hours.
- Ensure that all negligent damage is reported, recorded and photographed
- Ensure all damages caused to property associated with FLC are repaired in a timely fashion at a reasonable cost.
- Inspect properties for guest arrival, general maintenance and deep clean maintenance requirements
- Create work orders and provide instruction for trades
- Help train additional maintenance staff, and when required, the night audit/security staff
- Liaise with other employees to resolve concerns of owners and guest
- Maintain a regular maintenance schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) for all rental properties
- Manage laundry machines
Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- Problem resolution abilities, a sense of urgency and above average attention to detail skills
- General maintenance repair skills
- Understanding of property and rental management would be an asset
- Must be able to work independently and on a flexible weekly schedule
- Must be available for emergency situations
