Fernie, B.C. is an amazing place for your whole family - even your dog. Numerous trails and parks will keep your pet's tail wagging with more than 24 parks and trails in the immediate area. Fernie Alpine Resort also offers more than 14 kms of trails for a sniff-and-explore nature walk.

**Please note that only a few select suites have been set aside to allow pets, be certain that your pets arrangments are coordinated prior to your arrival. Pets are not permitted in suites that are not selected as pet friendly.**

Dog Friendly Suites
Fernie Lodging Company has designated several Dog Friendly suites at several properties. Be sure to get your dog's treat at check in. We ask that you include your dog when enjoying your stay so it doesn't disturb other guests. A leash is required in the town of Fernie and within Fernie Lodging Company's public facilities. To ensure a positive experience for you and your Dog, as well as other guests, please keep your dog on a leash at all times. for Health and Safety reasons, dogs are not permitted in common areas such as the hot tubs, fitness areas, food service areas, lounges or meeting rooms. Quiet Time for all Guests including pets is from 10:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. so everyone has a restful sleep.
There is a $25 Dog charge that covers stays from 1 - 7 days maximum. Additional charges may apply for extra cleaning as a result of accidents, damages to property ( replacement or repair costs) or noise complaints ( including reimbursement required as a result of inconveniencing other Guests). If dogs are left unattended in suites, Fernie Lodging Company will not be able to provide scheduled housekeeping services. And again, if noise complaints result, owners may be fined. All dog owners are required to sign a Dog Safety Damage Waiver and Credit Card Preauthorization at check in. .
Dogs found in non-designated Dog Friendly suites will result in fines up to a $500 charged to the Owner and possible eviction with no refund.

Boarding kennel with attached 10x8 outdoor kennel and play yard, offering 24-hour or day care. Pets are walked several times daily. Bring your pet's own food and bed, or we can provide both. No dogs will be accepted without proof of current vaccinations presented. This includes, but is not limited to, Distemper, Parvovirus, Rabies and Bordatella (or Kennel Cough). Parasite treatment is also recommended.
Open daily from 8:00-5:00 p.m., extended winter hours mid December through April. Rate is $14/day; $16/night; $25 for second family dog in same enclosure. Discounts for long term stays. After hours drop-off and pick-up can be arranged in advance for a $5.00 fee. Space is limited, early bookings are advised.

Happy Hounds provides your dog with fun-filled adventures with fellow canine companions. After picking up your pooch from your house, it's time to hit the trail. The day's adventures are tailored to the weather: a crisp winter morning may include a snowshoe through the woods, while swimming in the river would be first on the list on a hot summer day. Your dog will be returned to their home where they will nap contentedly until you come home.
1 Hr Group Walk $15- Wonderful opportunity to run, play and socialize with friends.
2 Hr Group Adventure $20- Double the fun with plenty of time to explore the trails less travelled.
Private Walk $15/half hour, $25/hour- A great option if your dog prefers to be alone.
Puppy Play $10/half hour- Perfet for young pups who need regular breaks throughout the day. Includes feeding, play and walk.
Holiday Relief $35 a day- Going away and don't want to put your dog in a kennel? This service provides relief to both you and your dog. 3 visits a day (minimum), includes: feeding, bathroom breaks, play, and 1 or 2 hr walk.
