Fernie Lodging Company has been creating unforgettable memories since 1990. We manage the largest selection of privately owned accommodation at Fernie Alpine Resort. Please read through the following terms and conditions to ensure a great stay with Fernie Lodging Company.
Rates and Occupancy:
All rates quoted are per night, per suite in Canadian dollars. Rates are subject to Provincial Hotel Tax (10%) and Federal Goods & Services Tax (5%) at this time. Rates and taxes are subject to change without notice. No extra person charges apply, however, maximum occupancy in effect. Occupancy is strictly limited to the number of pillows provided in the unit, sofabeds included. Violation of occupancy policy may result in termination of guest occupancy with no refund for the unused portion of the stay or extra charges.
MINIMUM NIGHTS:
Winter: A minimum stay of two nights is required for all Timberline Lodges, Bear Paw Lodges and Snow Creek Lodge suites. A three night minimum stay is required for Polar Peak Lodges, Thunder Ridge Chalets, Snow Creek Cabins and Resort Homes. A five night minimum is required for all properties during Holiday Season.
Summer: There is no minimum stay required for all Timberline Lodges, Bear Paw Lodges and Snow Creek Lodge suites. A minimum stay of two nights is required for Polar Peak Lodges, Thunder Ridge Chalets, Snow Creek Cabins and Resort Homes.
Rental age requirement:
Registered occupants must be a minimum of 21 years of age for all Timberline Lodges, Bear Paw Lodges and Snow Creek Lodge suites. For Polar Peak Lodges, Thunder Ridge Chalets, Snow Creek Cabins and Resort Homes, registered occupants must be a minimum of 25 years of age. At check-in, the registered occupant may be required to produce photo ID.
Deposit and Final Payment:
Winter: A 30% deposit per suite is due at time of booking (total charges including taxes) and is non-refundable. Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival and is non-refundable. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
The credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express) provided at the time of booking will automatically be charged on the final payment due date unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Travellers cheques, certified cheques or cash may be used for bookings made in person.
Reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Fernie Lodging Company cannot guarantee changes or refunds for pre-paid activities.
Summer: A 30% deposit per suite is due at time of booking (total charges including taxes). Final payment is due two days prior to arrival. Payments may be refundable, based on the time of cancellation. See Changing or Cancelling a Reservation below for more details. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
Reservations made less than two days prior to arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Fernie Lodging Company cannot guarantee changes or refunds for pre-paid activities.
Reservation Fee:
A one-time fee of $9.75 + taxes per suite will be charged at the time of booking.
Confirmation:
A reservation is considered confirmed when a deposit has been received and a booking number assigned. A confirmation will be sent via email unless otherwise requested.
Changing or Cancelling a Reservation:
Changing a reservation may be possible, but is not guaranteed and is based on availability. Fees will apply.
Winter:
All changes to a reservation must be requested in writing a minimum of 14 days prior to arrival, and will be subject to the following fees:
1. Changes made to a reservation where the arrival date remains within the same booking season will be charged $50 + GST per suite.
2. Changes made to a reservation where the arrival date is in a future booking season will be charged $200 + GST per suite.
3. Changes requested where the arrival date is unknown will be cancelled, and a credit will be held for 12 months from the original arrival date. The fee for this service will be $250 + GST per suite.
In the case of an upgrade and/or an extended stay, which results in the total value of the stay being greater than the original reservation amount, some fees may be waived. Rates and specials are not transferable. In the case of a reduction in nights or a change in season, there will be no refunds for unused portions of a reservation. Guests who do not arrive for their reservation will forfeit all monies paid.
Confirmation of any changes will be sent by email unless otherwise requested.

Check-in and Check-out:
Winter: Check-in is at 4pm. Check-out is 10am.
Summer: Check-in is at 4pm. Early check-in may be possible if the suite is available. Please let us know if your estimated time of arrival is later than 6pm so that check-in arrangements can be made in advance. Check-out is 10am.
Lodging Waiver and Security Deposit:
Guests are staying in a private residence that Fernie Lodging Company is fortunate to represent. Please respect your home away from home.
At check-in, a registered occupant will be required to sign a Lodging Waiver which includes the provision of a valid credit card in their own name. This credit card will be charged a security deposit of $100 per night, to a maximum of $500 for all Timberline, Snow Creek Lodge and Bear Paw Lodge suites, and $200 per night, to a maximum of $1000 for Polar Peak Lodges, Thunder Ridge Chalets, Snow Creek Cabins and Resort Homes. A Lodging Waiver must be signed for each suite. We reserve the right to request and enforce multiple Lodging Waivers and security deposits for each suite.
Guests agree to maintain the property in the same condition it was received upon arrival. Guests are liable for any damages or loss to the premises and the furnishings, equipment and household items that occur during the guest’s occupancy. The individual who signs the Lodging Waiver and provides the credit card, takes responsibility for any damages (repair or replacement cost) and incidental charges including, but not limited to boutique purchases, courier, lost keys, ski locker and automatic garage door openers during their stay. All costs will be assessed within 45 days of departure.
QUIET TIME & CONSIDERATION OF OTHERS:
Quiet time is from 11pm to 7am. Fernie Lodging Company reserves the right to fine or evict with no refund, at our discretion, on the basis of violation of rental policies including, but not limited to excessive noise and inappropriate or illegal behaviour.
Release of Liability:
Fernie Lodging Company does not refund and is not liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment, of any nature to you or your group members resulting from events beyond our control. Examples include, but are not limited to, weather conditions, snow conditions, lift closures, road closures and flight delays. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
We cannot guarantee the operation of heat, A/C, plumbing, appliances, fireplaces, private hot tubs or like equipment. No refund or discounts will be made upon their failure; however, every effort will be made to make repairs, as soon as possible to provide for your comfort. This also applies to facility pools, hot tubs, elevators etc. Upon check-in, please report any missing items, problems or concerns with your suite to us immediately.
All Fernie Lodging Company properties are independently owned and will vary in contents, décor and bedding configuration. We will do our best to provide you with the accommodation of your choice; however, we reserve the right to change accommodation up to and including the day of your arrival.
Accommodation Guarantee:
Fernie Lodging Company will make every effort to guarantee that a guest will be staying in accommodations of at least equal to the level of the unit type booked by the guest. We reserve the right to transfer guests to equivalent or similar accommodations at our discretion or if the reserved property becomes unavailable. Therefore, we cannot guarantee specific suites at all times. The availability of certain properties may change after booking due to circumstances beyond our control. Fernie Lodging Company cannot guarantee that properties are non-allergenic.
Smoking:
We thank you for respecting our non-smoking policy in all suites including balconies and common areas. Any violation of the non-smoking policy will result in the loss of the guest security/damage deposit and the possibility of extra cleaning charges.
Dog Policy:
Fernie Lodging Company welcomes well-trained and behaved dogs to stay with their owners in designated “dog friendly” suites. There is a $25 + GST dog charge that covers stays from 1-7 days maximum. All dog owners will be required to sign a Dog Safety Damage Waiver and credit card pre-authorization at check-in. To ensure a positive experience for you and your dog, as well as other guests, please keep your dog on a leash at all times. For health and safety reasons, dogs are not permitted in common areas such as pools, hot tubs, fitness areas, food service areas, lounges or meeting rooms. Quiet time for all guests, including dogs, is from 11pm to 7am, so everyone has a restful sleep.
Additional charges may apply for extra cleaning as a result of accidents, damages to property (replacement or repair cost) or noise complaints (including reimbursement required as a result of inconveniencing other guests). If dogs are left unattended in suites, Fernie Lodging Company will not be able to provide scheduled housekeeping services.
Dogs found in non-designated “dog friendly” suites will result in a fine of up to $500 charged to the owner and possible eviction with no refund. With regards to pets and allergies, we cannot guarantee our properties are non-allergenic.
Housekeeping:
All suites, townhouses and homes are self-contained and include fully equipped kitchens that will be stocked with salt and pepper, sugar, coffee & filters, liquid dish soap, dishwasher soap, dish cloths and dish towels. Housekeeping services are provided for Snow Creek Lodge and Timberline Lodges suites for stays of more than 5 nights. Frequency of service depends on length of stay.

Snow Creek Cabins, Polar Peak Lodges, Thunder Ridge Chalets, Bear Paw Lodges and Resort Homes do not have scheduled service; however housekeeping can be arranged by special request, in advance, for additional charges.
