Choose Fernie for your Christmas ski vacation for fun-filled family holiday activities on and off the mountain.
Fernie Lodging Company still has ski condo and mountain lodge vacancies over the Christmas period – but act fast as the ski season has now begun.
Sunday, December 11
• The Canadian Pacific Holiday train arrives at the Arts Station at 5:15 pm with bright Christmas lights and live music from Canadian performers Valdy and Tracey Brown.
Join Christmas carollers from 4:30 pm at the Arts Station.
The holiday train event is a food drive for the Fernie Salvation Army food bank so don’t forget to bring a tin or packet with you.
Saturday, December 17
Get last-minute gifts and homemade Christmas treats at the Christmas Craft Fair, Fernie Community Centre from 10 am-4 pm with a visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus from 1 pm-1:30 pm
Join Shauna Pant and Anie Hepher at The Arts Station from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a performance of seasonal songs as part of the free Jingle Jam series.
Santa will be making an appearance at the concert so bring your child to meet Santa and have a photo taken. A small fee will be charged per child.
Sunday, December 18
Snow Event at the Aquatic Centre – enjoy crafts, swimming, and fun events to celebrate the holidays! 2:30-4:30pm.
Monday, December 19
9 am to noon Yule Create Kids Camp at The Arts Station -
$10 registration fee. Preregistration is mandatory and can be done at The Arts Station. For more information, call 250-423-4842.
Tuesday, December 20
Kwanzaa celebrations at Fernie Heritage Library, ages 6-10, 3:30-5 pm.
8 pm to 10 pm Holiday concert by The Jazz Council – a jazz band from Cranbrook.
Tickets are free and are available at The Arts Station. Entrance with a ticket is mandatory and only 100 available. Comp passes do not apply to this concert.
Wednesday, December 21

3 pm and 4:30 pm Yayfal Sisters Children’s Theatre present “Especially Around Christmas” Tickets $5/person. Available at The Arts Station
Ski with Santa & Photos
Come out and ski with Santa! Santa will be on the slopes from 10 am to 12 pm. Then come down to the base area and get your picture taken with Santa from 12 pm to 2 pm.
Don’t worry about bringing a camera, Santa’s helpers will take the photo and email it to you! PHOTOS ARE FREE and the event is open to all ages!!
Christmas Eve – Saturday, December 24
Wrapping up the Jingle Jams series will be Anie and Mike Hepher performing Christmas songs at Ghostrider Trading on Second Avenue from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Enjoy holiday cheer as Fernie Alpine Resort welcomes Santa to the slopes!
