Maintenance Technician – Level 1

We specialize in providing authentic and memorable lodging experiences to our guests, while delivering exceptional service and care to local property owners.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Seasonal Maintenance Technician to join our team during our busy summer and fall season. This part-time role will support our full-time maintenance staff in keeping our properties and facilities in excellent working condition.

This position is ideal for someone with a hands-on attitude, strong attention to detail, and a passion for property care. Some experience in general repairs, trades, or painting is a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve maintenance work orders promptly and efficiently

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by picking up litter or debris as needed

  • Assist housekeepers and other departments with maintenance-related tasks

  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests and property owners

  • Carry out light repairs, painting, and basic maintenance tasks around the property

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant maintenance, trades, or handyman experience

  • Able to work independently with strong time management and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems is an asset

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team player attitude

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to follow-through

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common software is a bonus

  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices

  • Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
